As the days grow shorter (and colder already — what’s that about?), we all like to sleep in a bit, so the Alcove will open at 7:30 am rather than 7:00 am. And we’ll be closed Wednesdays.

your website on google maps points to the al cove cafe in Los Angeles – which I love – but I don’t think it is the one in Charlevoix…

Thanks for your comment, Tom. There are 4 Alcove Cafes on Google Maps — the one in Omaha, the one in Atlanta, the one in LA, and mine. If you look for Alcove-Cafe.com in GM, my place pops up. If you search for AlcoveCafe.com (no dash), the one in LA pops up first, which seems fair since it’s their website. Mine is listed, second. Hard to compete with a well-known and regarded LA cafe when it comes to web traffic! Truth be told, I’m thrilled to be known at all outside of Northern Michigan. And I want everyone to know that I had the terracotta umbrellas before I knew anything about the LA Alcove.
